How's
this for synchronicity - two member of St Augustine's Grammar School,
both class of 75, both featured in Bauer-published magazines on the
14.05 flight from Hong Kong to Seoul. Johnny Marr (ex-Smiths) was on the
front cover of Mojo, while I had a vaguely Hobbit-related headline on
page 48 of Discovery, Cathay Pacific's in-flight magazine.
Before anyone points it out, there is, of course, a huge deal of
difference between me and Johnny - his best work is 25 years behind him,
while I have a cracking headline about Asian boutique hotels in the
February issue of Discovery.
I think that says it all.
